Friday, May 15, 2009 Update – Slight risk of flash flooding

May 15, 2009

As of 7:15 this morning, 0.03″ of rain has fallen in Carol Stream.

The latest model forecasts show 2.00″ of rain falling before midnight in the western and southwest suburbs of Chicago, with more possible in thunderstorms. Because of the wet week and resulting saturated ground, any sustained heavy rainfall in excess of 2 to 3 inches will lead to flash flooding today.
