Very significant flash flood threat through this week

Up to 6 inches of rain is possible through Wednesday evening this week in isolated portions of the. Chicago area. Widespread rain amounts of 3 inches can be expected through Wednesday evening. This amount of rain would bring significant flooding to the Carol Stream area.

Stay tuned to the latest forecasts and warnings, and be prepared to seek higher ground should a significant amount of rain fall in a shore period of time.

    8/3/2010 My husband and I went out for a walk tonight 11pm the storm drains on the North end of Silverleaf are still full from the rain early Tuesday morning and there is still standing water on Illini due to the storm drains are not draining. Hoping for the best tonight!
